Ryan Gellert ('05) grew up in Cocoa Beach, Florida, a city known for its surfing and miles of pristine beaches. A completely different sport—snowboarding—originally brought him to Utah after college, but Gellert's volunteer work with the American Civil Liberties Union and a Utah Law professor inspired him to stay and attend law school himself.
