""The ESRR Endowment Fund for the Wallace Stegner Center provides a scholarship to an admitted candidate who has a demonstrated interest in environmental law and conservation, with preference given to individuals either working for or interested in working for advocacy organizations. The scholarship is renewed annually based on continued commitment to the study and practice of environmental law, providing support for all three years of law school. The scholarship aims to open career opportunities for students interested in pursuing employment with nonprofit environmental advocacy organizations by defraying the costs of a legal education.

 

Benefits


One Full Tuition Scholarship with small stipend

Renewable for all 3 years of law school conditioned on good academic standing and commitment to qualify for Environmental Law certificate

Assured Stegner Center Graduate Assistantship for 2L year

 

Eligibility


All admitted students with a demonstrated interest in environmental law and conservation are eligible to be considered for this award.  In addition to demonstrated interest in environmental law and conservation, substantial weight is given to the student’s academic performance.

 

Application Requirements and Selection


All admitted students with a demonstrated interest in environmental law and conservation are considered for this award based on the contents of their application for admission materials.  No other application materials are required.  Selection is made by the merit on entrance scholarship review committee.
