Professor Paul Cassell, an expert in criminal law and a former federal judge, recently spoke to The Salt Lake Tribune about the Utah Attorney General’s investigation of Operation Underground Railroad (OUR) founder Tim Ballard, who is facing sexual assault allegations.
Cassell said that Attorney General Sean Reyes’ decades-long friendship with Ballard and ties to OUR create a conflict of interest, and his office should not be investigating criminal charges against Ballard.
