She was also a founding partner of Women Lawyers of Utah. In 1993, Graham was elected the first woman Utah attorney general and served until 2001.

“Jan Graham was a trailblazer and is still the only woman elected as attorney general in Utah,” said Utah Law Dean Elizabeth Kronk Warner. “I’m grateful for all our alumni who work in public service and especially for those, like Graham, who further opportunities for women within the legal profession.”
