3L Wiersum Wins Award for Paper on Ocean Energy Management

Brett-WiersumBrett Wiersum, a 3L at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, has taken second place in the Energy and Public Lands Student Writing Competition, co-sponsored by the ABA Section on Environment, Energy, and Resources and the University of Montana School of Law’s Public Lands and Resources Law Review, for his paper titled “The New Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.” He will have his paper published in the law review, was awarded $500, and will be provided airfare to Missoula, Montana for the April 18 ABA Public Land Law Symposium, where he will be recognized. Wiersum  wrote the paper for Ocean and Coastal Law last semester.
