EVENT DESCRIPTION:

The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) has finally become active as of January 2024, requiring practically every registered business entity to determine whether they must comply with the CTA and which of their affiliates’ information must be reported to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Attorneys are sure to get more inquiries about the CTA from current and new clients as the year goes on and the compliance deadline for existing businesses gets closer. In this CLE, Landon Troester of Clyde Snow & Sessions will discuss what the CTA requires, why lawyers are likely to receive calls from clients about compliance, and how lawyers can provide value to their clients in connection with the CTA. This CLE will also discuss how law firms can navigate the CTA reporting process efficiently.
