Attorney Bios
Jenna Merchant, Jenna S. Merchant, Attorney at Law, P.L.L.C.
Jenna is a 2009 graduate of the S.J. Quinney College of Law. During her 1L year, Jenna she worked at her dad’s pharmacy on the weekends to try to lower her student loan debt. Her first summer, Jenna interned with Judge Toomey, an internship she set up on her own. Jenna also worked with the Salt Lake Legal Defender’s Association until she passed the bar and opened her own firm in 2009. In her spare time she loves to play softball. She also volunteers for and coaches for a softball team.
Jacque Ramos, J. Ramos Law Firm P.L.L.C.
Jacque is the founder and owner J. Ramos Law Firm P.L.L.C. Jacque maintains a general civil litigation practice encompassing numerous subject areas mostly, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, products liability, intellectual property, commercial law, and immigration. In recent years, Jacque has become interested and gained experience in litigating criminal actions, business disputes, and land disputes.
Jacque graduated from the University of Utah in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Indiana University School of Law in 2005. She was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 2005 and the Nevada State Bar in 2010. In 2005, Jacque joined the law office of Moriarity, Badaruddin & Booke, where she received training and experience in providing quality legal work and zealous client representation in cases involving personal injuries, commercial disputes, or other violations of basic human rights. Prior to joining Moriarity, Badaruddin & Booke, Jacque served as law clerk at the Copyright Management Center, Indianapolis, Indiana. Her work included researching and analyzing all aspects of copyright law. She was responsible for drafting and negotiating intellectual property licenses, assignments, and other agreements.
Before she embarked on her legal career, Jacque worked as an Insurance Account Representative servicing large local, national, and international commercial businesses. Her duties included underwriting, rating, and marketing insurance coverage for Professional and Entity liability, Director and Officers liability, Errors and Omissions liability, Workers Compensation liability, and Medical Malpractice liability. Jacque is a thankful mother of Estela Marie Ramos (2 years old) and wife of Alejandro Ramos, a born Venezuelan.
John Quinn, Quinn Dumke, LLC
John graduated from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 2007. While still in law school, he accumulated considerable trial experience working for the Forsyth County District Attorney’s Office, where he tried 32 cases as a prosecutor. John was also a co-founder of the Wake Law Cycling Club. Immediately following law school, John served as a law clerk in Utah’s Second Judicial District, where he served Judge Thomas L. Kay, Judge Glen R. Dawson, and Judge David M. Connors. John’s experience provides him considerable insight into the judicial process, which he brings to work for Quinn Dumke LLC.
Following his service in the Second Judicial District, John spent two happy years as an associate attorney at Mohrman & Schofield PC, where he accumulated significant courtoom experience in family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation matters. John’s practice includes family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation. He is a member of the Utah State Bar, the Salt Lake County Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Utah.
John received a B.A. in political science from the University of Utah in 2002 and is still active in local politics. He is an avid reader and writer, having written one book. Additionally, he enjoys skiing, cycling, and golf.
