University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law Professor Amy Wildermuth was quoted in a recent Education Week article about the federal guidance over transgender students and restrooms.
Wildermuth, an expert on administrative law issues, told Education Week that as Congress has become gridlocked on many issues, federal agencies have asserted their administrative authority.
“Agencies filling the gaps are looking to the tools they have available to them,” she said in the article.
