In November, 2014, G. Thomas Stromberg, ’82, a partner at the law firm of Jenner & Block, has been selected to serve as a member of the board of Public Counsel, the nation’s largest pro bono law firm.
The Public Counsel board comprises law firm managing partners, general counsel and other professionals from a variety of industries, all of whom are committed to providing equal access to justice. He previously served on the Public Counsel board 10 years ago.
Stromberg is a partner in Jenner & Block’s Transactional Department and is a member of the Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Practices. He said, “Public Counsel is a wonderful organization, and I am happy to once again serve on the board. Its mission of protecting the legal rights of disadvantaged children; representing immigrants who have been the victims of torture, persecution, domestic violence, trafficking and other crimes; and providing individuals and institutions in underserved communities with access to quality legal representation goes hand-in-hand with Jenner & Block’s commitment to public service and pro bono.”
