Clifford Rosky, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, was quoted recently in a Deseret News article, “Religious freedom, nondiscrimination bills to resurface at Utah Legislature.”
Rosky was quoted about a proposed bill that would exempt clergy, government official and judges from being forced to solemnize marriages that violate their religious beliefs.
In the article, he stated his support for the part of the bill dealing with clergy, but said the exempting government officials and judges would violate the First and 14th Amendments.
