Gov. Gary Herbert’s appointment of Professor Arnold Reitze to the Utah Air Quality Board has been approved by the Utah State Senate.
The Air Quality Board’s responsibilities include making rules regarding the control, abatement, and prevention of air pollution. The board implements the operating permit program and ensures compliance with applicable air pollution statutes and regulations and reviews settlements involving a civil penalty of $25,000 or more. Members serve four-year terms.
“I am looking forward to working with the Board to improve the air quality of Utah,” Reitze said.
