Micah Vorwaller, Class of 2015 and Biolaw Fellow

Micah VorwallerStudent Fellow Profile – Micah Vorwaller is a recent graduate of the College of Law and former Biolaw Fellow. Micah is an associate at The Ault Firm, P.C., with experience working on and handling the firm’s civil litigation cases, focusing primarily on business litigation and medical malpractice. Micah hopes to expand his practice into health law and its related fields. Micah has always maintained a deep interest in science, medicine, and health care. He worked for ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City for several years before starting law school where he gained experience in a variety of health care related functions such as medical test methodology research and the development of a federal, state, and agency licensure database for referral testing laboratories across the nation. Additionally Micah oversaw HIPAA compliance for patient’s medical results, and drafted laboratory standard operating procedures.

While in law school Micah was very involved with health law and its related subject areas. He took all of the law school’s offered courses that related to health law, he served as the Student Director of the Medical-Legal Pro Bono Clinic at the South Main Health Clinic, he was a Biolaw Fellow for the Center on Law and Biomedical Sciences, and is a co-author and member of the Privacy, Access, and Engagement Task Force of the Libretto Consortium of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, San Francisco, CA. Micah is fluent in Spanish and is licensed to practice in Utah’s state and federal courts. Micah is an avid soccer fan and enjoys both watching and playing as time permits.
