On September 18, 2014, Bob Keiter, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law and Director of the College’s Wallace Stegner Center, participated in a debate about Utah’s public lands. The debate, was held in the Sterling R. Church Auditorum in the Sharwin Smith Student Center on the campus of Southern Utah University in Cedar City.
Other participants in the debate included Becky Lockhart, Speaker of the Utah House of Representatives, Rep. Ken Ivory (R., West Jordan) and Dan McCool, Director of Environmental Studies at the University of Utah. The debate covered constitutional arguments, management of public lands, and economic issues related to public lands.
