Law professor Amos Guiora was quoted in a recent New York Times story about fraud arrests in the FLDS community.
In the article, Fraud Arrests May Be Turning Point for Polygamist Sect, Guiora discusses the possibility of the sect’s demise, cautioning:
“For members of the church who deeply believe in the tenets of the faith, who are deeply committed to it, things like this can actually have a counter impact,” adding “The leadership can say, ‘See, government really hates us.’
