George Speaks at UCLA, Guests on Heritage Radio Program

Erika_George_yptriiOn October 24, Erika George, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, was a panelist at the UCLA-Harvard Law School Food Law and Policy Conference, held at the UCLA School of Law. The conference was titled Transparency in the Global Food System: What Information and to What Ends.

George part of the panel“Can More Transparency Fix a Broken Food System?” The panel addressed the “interaction between increased transparency and norms about food production and distribution, with the central question of whether raising the bar on transparency and information can have a direct impact on issues of equity in the food system.” Her fellow panelists were Thomas McGarity, University of Texas at Austin School of Law and Andrea Freeman, from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, William S. Richardson School of Law.
