In addition, Contreras’ article,  “Genetic Property,” recently appeared as the lead article in Volume 105 of the Georgetown Law Journal.  In the article, Contreras argues that giving individuals property interests in their genetic information will hinder valuable biomedical research, but legal rules should be put in place to protect individuals from abusive research practices.
