Judge Richard Sueyoshi (’96) honored as Judge of the Year by the Sacramento County Bar Association
Richard K. Sueyoshi serves as a judge of the Superior Court of Sacramento County, California. Prior to his appointment in 2009 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Judge Sueyoshi was a partner in the Sacramento firm of Downey Brand.
David Mull (’02) joins Magelby Cataxinos Greenwood
Mull was formerly Senior Corporate Counsel for the Utah Transit Authority, a largely self-insured transit agency with approximately 2,500 employees. He was the sole in-house litigator for all property and casualty claims arising out of over 46,000,000 annual passenger boardings and operations spread over 77 municipalities. For over five years, he personally litigated or supervised the litigation of every personal injury and property damage lawsuit filed against the agency.
Meredith Krannich (’05) appointed Vice President over legal at BioFire Diagnostics
Krannich has worked for BioFire Diagnostics for two years. Prior to joining BioFire she spent three years as an adjunct professor at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law where she taught lawyering skills, arbitration and advanced negotiation and mediation. Krannich also practiced intellectual property and commercial litigation at the international law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP, in Chicago where she represented biotechnology and medical device manufacturers in multi-patent infringement lawsuits relating to technology ranging from DNA microarrays to peritoneal dialysis devices. Krannich also represented clients in copyright and trademark infringement actions as well as a range of other business disputes, and enjoyed an active pro bono practice, serving as a court appointed Guardian Ad Litem for disabled adults.
