University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law Professor Shima Baughman appeared in the media recently in two separate outlets related to the topic of bail reform.

Baughman was quoted in a story by The Deseret News titled, “Poor people are trapped behind bars. How Utah is using an algorithm to get some of them out,” which is available to read here.
Baughman also recently authored an opinion piece in The Salt Lake Tribune titled, “The bail system in the U.S. —and in Utah — is broken.”
This month Baughman also published new research in the Boston University Law Review.
