Shima Baradaran, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, was quoted in a March 11, 2015 New York Times story, “Vote for Firing Squad Shows Frustration With Drug Shortages.”
Baradaran said she didn’t see a challenge to the constitutionality of the firing squad succeeding because the federal government leaves capital punishment decisions to the states.
