Over 100 S.J. Quinney Students Participate in 2010 Fall Firm Crawl

On September 16, over 100 students from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law participated in the annual “Fall Firm Crawl,” sponsored by the College’s Young Alumni Association in conjunction with the S.J. Quinney Professional Development Office.  Through the Crawl, small groups of students on three different “tracks” each visited four of twelve downtown Salt Lake City law firms: Ballard Spahr, Durham Jones & Pinegar, Holland & Hart, Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough, Kirton & McConkie, Workman Nydegger, Parr Brown Gee & Loveless, Parsons Behle & Latimer, Ray Quinney & Nebeker, Richards Brandt Miller & Nelson, Smith Hartvigsen, and Stoel Rives.  The students had a great experience meeting practicing attorneys and gaining a better understanding of private practice.  As 3L Erin Byington put it,  “the firms were wonderfully prepared for us, and conversation was excellent.  The firms displayed a broad variety of characters and backgrounds of their lawyers that participated, which was impressive.”  The College of Law owes a special thanks to each of the participating firms and the Young Alumni Association, including its President, Jonathan Pappasideris of Ray Quinney & Nebeker.
