S.J. Quinney College of Law

The S.J. and Jessie E. Quinney Legacy

Posted on October 12, 2018 by Jonelle White

The Wallace Stegner Center is deeply indebted to the S.J. and Jessie E. Quinney Foundation for its vital endowment funding. In 1997, the Quinney Foundation gave the College of Law $1 million to support the Stegner Center and a named professorship in natural resources and environmental law. In 2001, the Quinney Foundation pledged an additional $1.5 million for the Center. The Foundation’s generosity has secured the Stegner Center’s future, enabling us to continue preparing tomorrow’s leaders in environmental and natural resources law and policy through the College’s J.D. and LL.M. programs and to promote greater community awareness, understanding, and involvement in environmental issues through our public educational programs.
