U's Center for Veteran Studies Enters into Partnership to Study Experience of Student Veterans

The University of Utah’s National Center for Veterans Studies (NCVS) has entered into a partnership with the Student Veterans of America (SVA), a national organization that organizes chapter members on college and university campuses across the nation.

Under the terms of the partnership, the two organizations will launch a national study on student veterans and their experiences on college campuses, as well as the common barriers and issues that veterans encounter in returning to or starting school after or during service in the military.

The NCVS is operated by the U’s College of Social and Behavioral Science and S.J. Quinney College of Law. Its mission is to engage in research, education, outreach, and advocacy to improve the lives of veterans, and better position these skilled, experienced and well-trained veterans for continued service that further advances American values, prosperity, and security.
