Tribune Quotes Rosky on New Efforts in Legislature to Ban Anti-Gay Bias

On January 20, Clifford Rosky, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, was quoted a The Salt Lake Tribune article, “Push to ban anti-gay bias gets new support in the legislature.”

The article deals with a bill sponsored by Rep. Derek Brown of Cottonwood Heights to ban discrimination against gay and transgendered Utahns. Responding to the charge that banning discrimination against gay and transgender people will lead to gay marriage, Rosky noted, “Amendment 3 bans same-sex marriage in the state of Utah. It’s part of our state Constitution. No statute can change it.”
