On Thursday, October 29, Linda Smith, a Professor of Law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law and the 2009 Commitment to Community Pro Bono Award winner, will participate in a National Pro Bono Week panel titled “The Civic Duty of Pro Bono Work” in the Lakeview Room at the Utah Valley University Library.
In addition to Smith, other panel participants include. Adam Ford, of the 2009 Pro Bono Law Firm Ford and Huff; Melissa Fulkerson, 2009 Pro Bono Young Lawyer of the Year; and Scott H. Martin, 2009 Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year.
The lunchtime panel is being offered for one hour of CLE credit. Cost is $15 for CUBA members and $20 for non-CUBA members. Please RSVP by name and bar number to Jill Jasperson (jill.jasperson@byulaw.net) by noon Monday, October 26.
The luncheon is cosponsored by The Center for the Study of Ethics, Woodbury School of Business, and the Legal Studies Department. It is also part of the Utah Democracy Project.
