Salt Lake Tribune Highlights Plans for New College of Law Building

On March 13, The Salt Lake Tribune publicized the College of Law’s plans for a new building near its existing site on the west side of the U campus.  The feature article, by higher education reporter Brian Maffly, sets forth the College of Law’s need for a new facility, pointing to the current building’s lack of useful space, the comments from accreditation teams in 2001 and 2009 that were highly critical of the outmoded current facility, and the U’s long-range plans for a green buffer strip near the site of the current building, which the article described as an “much-needed interface connecting the U campus and the surrounding community.
