Rudd Publishes USA Today Op-Ed on Emotional Toll of War

David Rudd, dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Utah and scientific director of the U’s National Center for Veterans Studies, recently published an op-ed in USA Today about the emotional toll of war and the increasing incidence of military suicides.

In the March 2, 2010, op-ed, Rudd also lays out steps that could be taken to “acknowledge[] the emotional consequences of war,” including encouraging open discussion about the emotional consequences of combat.
