Rosky to Speak at Matrimonial Lawyers Meeting December 5

Clifford Rosky, an associate professor of law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law, will speak at an American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) meeting December 5.

Rosky, who teaches courses on criminal law, family law, and sexuality, gender and law, will provide a national overview of laws governing the recognition of same-sex relationships and gay and lesbian parenthood, with a focus on Utah and the Mountain West states.

Before joining the faculty of the Quinney College of Law, Rosky served as a research fellow for the Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation Law & Public Policy at the UCLA School of Law. He is writing a series of articles on gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered parenthood. The first of these articles, “Like Father, Like Son: The Gender of Homophobia in Family Law,” will be published in the Yale Journal of Law & Feminismin the Fall of 2008.
