University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law Professor Clifford Rosky is quoted in the new issue of The Advocate., a publication that bills itself as “the oldest and largest LGBT publication in the United States.”
In the story, titled “Utah Gov. Says Failure to Defend Marriage Bans Courts Anarchy,” Gov. Herbert criticizes states that fail to defend same-sex marriage bans in court. The Advocate quoted Rosky’s response to that criticism, drawing on a quote that he had earlier provided to The Salt Lake Tribune.
““I understand that the governor and attorney general think that [Utah’s] Amendment 3 [banning same-sex marriage] is constitutional, but there is increasing evidence across the United States that their view is incorrect,” Rosky said.
