Christopher Peterson, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, will take a two year public service leave of absence from the college to accept a position with the new federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Peterson, one of the nation’s leading experts on payday lending, will join the bureau’s enforcement division, which a Salt Lake Tribune article said is “charged with regulating everything from credit cards to mortgages.”
