A new monthly clinic held at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law was profiled recently in The Salt Lake Tribune.
The clinic, in which experienced attorneys provide guidance on family law, estate planning and other issues, and College of Law students provide administrative support and learn from the experienced practitioners, is aimed at members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, or LGBT, community, according to the Tribune article. It is conducted with help from the College of Law’s Pro Bono Initiative and OutLaws student club.
The clinic is held the second Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The articles quoted student coordinator Danielle Hawkes, a 3L at the College of Law, and Salt Lake City attorney Lauren Barros, a 1993 COL graduate who regularly volunteers at the Clinic.
