The current issue of More, a magazine “for Women of Style & Substance,” profiles Katie Monroe, the recently departed director of the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center. The article, “The Lawyer of Last Resort,” recounts Monroe’s two-decade-long odyssey to free the wrongfully imprisoned in Utah, Nevada and Wyoming, and delves into the saga of Debra Brown, a Utah woman who was freed last year after 17 years in prison thanks to the efforts of Monroe and RMIC.
The article also credits the efforts of Jensie Anderson, Clinical Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, as well as the contributions of College of Law students, all of whom volunteered on Brown’s behalf.
