Johnson Presents on Financial Market Reforms

Christian Johnson, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, presented widely on the continuing Dodd Frank OTC derivative reforms during November and December. On November 24, he presented a talk titled “Understanding the Reach of Over-the-Counter Derivative Market Reforms in the U.S.” to the law faculty at the University College Dublin. On November 1, he was a panelist in the West Publishing Webcast titled “Hedge Fund Concerns with respect to Clearing, Exchange Trading, and Margining of OTC Derivatives,” focusing on the new rules on derivatives that affect hedge funds. Johnson also presented a two-day seminar on OTC derivatives to Latvijas Banka, the central bank of Latvia, in December.
