Johnson Presents on Close-out Netting to Central Bank of Latvia

On June 19, Christian Johnson, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, addressed a group of central bankers at the Central Bank of Latvia (Latvijas Banka) in Riga, The presentation focused on the importance of Latvia revising its statutes to permit close-out netting for derivative transactions. Johnson also addressed the various derivative reforms that are being enacted in the United States and Europe.
