Holbrook Shares Vietnam War Stories on March 12 KUED Special

The stories of Jim Holbrook, Clinical Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, and dozens of other Utah men and women who served in the Vietnam War form the heart of “Drawdown,” the final chapter in KUED’s critically acclaimed, award-winning documentary series, Utah Vietnam War Stories. “Drawdown” debuts Tuesday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. on KUED. After returning from a visit to Vietnam in 1997, Holbrook said, “I think the American people will have learned, as a result of the Vietnam War, never to fight another war that had no purpose, no strategic purpose.” Four years later, however, the U.S. Invaded Afghanistan and two years after that invaded Iraq. About these wars, Holbrook said, “We didn’t learn the lesson of Vietnam.”  A transcript of Holbrook’s entire interview for the KUED  series can be found here.
