Amos Guiora, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, recently published an op-ed, “The Gatekeepers: Geopolitics and the Limits of Power,” on the Foreign Policy Research institute’s (FPRI) website.
Giuora writes, “Both President Bush’s decision to intervene in Iraq and Afghanistan and President Obama’s decision to expand the drone policy reflect the implementation of significant US power. The question is why, and to what end.”
According to its website, “Founded in 1955, FPRI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to bringing the insights of scholarship to bear on the development of policies that advance U.S. national interests. We add perspective to events by fitting them into the larger historical and cultural context of international politics.”
