Quinney College Professor Amos Guiora co-authored an op-ed that appeared in the March 16, 2008 Salt Lake Tribune titled “Veto of Bill Banning Torture Puts Interrogators in a Bind.”
Co-authored by Daniel C. Barr, an attorney in private practice in Phoenix, the op-ed argues that by failing to ban waterboarding, President Bush has mandated that the nation’s interrogators disregard the rule of law and “embrace the same sadistic measures used by many evil and failed regimes throughout history.”
