Francis Attends D.C. Meeting on Vital and Health Statistics

From September 21-23, Leslie Francis, a Professor of Law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law and Professor and Chair, Department of Philosophy, attended meetings of the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS), in Washington, D.C. NCVHS is the federal advisory committee to the Secretary of Health and Human Services on health data matters. Francis, the co chair of NCVHS’s Privacy, Confidentiality, and Security Subcommittee, said that the meeting’s agenda included planning for the symposium on law and new developments in health informatics to be held at the S.J. Quinney College of Law on March 4-5.
