Sanford Kadish, former University of Utah College of Law professor and later dean of the UC Berkeley School of Law, died of kidney failure on September 5 at age 92. After graduating from Columbia Law School in 1948, he practiced law for three years in New York before joining the faculty at the University of Utah. Kadish taught at the University of Utah for 10 years and then at the University of Michigan before moving to Berkeley in 1964, where he later served as dean from 1975 to 1982. Kadish is survived by his two sons Josh and Peter Kadish, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
