Forbes Editor Kashmir Hill to Discuss NSA Controversy at Feb 3 Law Faculty Lunch

Kashmir Hill, a senior online editor at Forbes Magazine will present a faculty lunch titled “Big Brother vs. Big Business: Perspectives on the NSA Controversy” on Monday, February 3 in the College of Law’s Borchard Conference Room.  Admission is free and lunch will be provided, but an RSVP is requested.

During her February 3-5 visit to the University of Utah, Hill will also attend Professor Randy Dryer’s Information Privacy Law class on Monday and Wednesday. In addition, she will speak on the same topic at the Hinckley Institute of Politics on Tuesday, February 4 at noon.

According to her bio, Hill writes about the intersection of privacy and technology, getting as close to the stories as she can. In the course of her reporting she has hacked into a stranger’s smart home, told a Supreme Court Justice about a law school class stalking him, lived on Bitcoin for a week, paid an unexpected visit to the NSA datacenter in Utah, and revealed Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s private photos to the world.
