The University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law’s counter-terrorism simulation, spearheaded by Professor Amos Guiora, was recently spotlighted by KSL 5 TV.
Guiora, a former lieutenant colonel in the Israel Defense Forces and counter-terrorism expert, first used the immersive counterterrorism as a method of teaching members of the armed forces to gain experience in high-intensity situations. The College of Law’s simulation involves students and community members playing pre-assigned roles as government officials and making critical decisions in the face of fast-breaking events.
The College of Law’s Counter-Terrorism Simulation will be held Friday, April 1. More information is available here.
