College of Law Tied for 9th among 350 U.S. Law Schools for most SSRN Downloads per Author

For the month of September, the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law tied with USC’s Gould School of Law for 9th most new SSRN downloads per author, among the 350 top U.S. law schools.  The ranking measures downloads for the past 12 months.

“The SSRN ranking provides yet another indicator of our amazing faculty’s quality research on the most pressing issues of our times,” said Dean Hiram Chodosh.  “Our peer institutions recognize that our faculty is producing cutting-edge work on issues ranging from biolaw to the economic crisis, counter-terrorism to mediation, energy to bankruptcy, and global climate change to family law.”

Among other law schools in the top 10, Harvard is 8th, the University of Chicago is 3rd, and Vanderbilt ranks 1st. The SSRN, or Social Science Research Network, is a world wide collaborative of over 171,000 authors and more than 1.3 million users that is devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of social science research.
