Chiang to Participate in WSU’s Civil Liberties Forum, April 3

On April 3, Emily Chiang, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, will participate as a panelist at the annual Civil Liberties Forum at Weber State University in Ogden. The panel, to be held in the Wildcat Theater of the Shepherd Union Building, will begin at 10:30 a.m. The panel is free and open to the public.

In addition to Chiang, other panelists will include John Mejia, Legal Director of the ACLU of Utah; Brenda Valles, Senior Research Analyst, Office of Equity and Diversity, University of Utah; and Dr. Forrest Crawford, Assistant to President of Diversity, Professor of Teacher Education, Weber State University.

The panelists will discuss the school-to-prison pipeline.
