Cassell to Appear at New York Law School Symposium

On Friday, November 5, Paul Cassell, a professor of law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, will appear as a panelist at New York Law School’s symposium Exonerating the Innocent: Pre-Trial Innocence Procedures.

Casell’s panel is titled “Theoretical and Empirical Considerations of Pre-Trial Procedures.” It runs from 9:15 – 11:00 a.m. EDT.

According to the symposium’s brochure, “Leading scholars and practitioners will examine the use of pre-trial innocence procedures and bureaus meant to limit the number of convictions of innocent people, especially the indigent, by allowing defendants to establish their innocence prior to or at trial.”
