Ambassador Perry to Speak on Law and Gender on March 3

On Monday, March 3 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., Ambassador in Residence Ruth Carter Perry, former U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Republic of Sierra Leone, will speak in the Borchard Conference Room. Her talk, “Rule of Law and Gender: Issues in International, National and Customary Law,” will address international conventions regarding gender and how national and customary law may or may not be consistent in practice with agreements presented by multilateral bodies.

Ambassador Perry’s talk is free and open to the public, but registration is requested.  Her talk will also be webcast live on ulaw.tv.

Later that day, Ambassador Perry will meet with students at 2:30 p.m. in room 108 for a discussion and information session. This informal event is sponsored by the Professional Development Office. No reservation or appointment is required.
