Utah State Bar honors Jensie Anderson and Reyes Aguilar with Lifetime Service Awards and recognizes 25 Utah Law alumni

The Utah State Bar has awarded its prestigious 2025 Lifetime Service Awards to former Associate Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Reyes Aguilar, former Professor Jensie Anderson, and Judge Noel S. Hyde. The awards honor extraordinary legal professionals whose careers have exemplified commitment, integrity and transformative impact in the legal community.

“These honorees have improved lives, expanded justice, and inspired countless others to serve,” said Elizabeth Wright, executive director of the Utah State Bar. “The Lifetime Service Award reflects the values we hold most dear: dedication, integrity, and the belief that law can be a force for good.”

The Lifetime Service Awards were presented during the Bar’s Annual Meeting on June 26. Highlights included recognizing 33 lawyers who’ve been in practice for 50 years, including the following Utah Law alumni:

Additionally, alumna Kim Cordova (JD ’01) was sworn in as the new president of the Utah Bar Association, and Jessica Couser and Tyler Young were sworn in as bar commissioner and president-elect.
