Building atrium inside the S.J. Quinney College of LawUtah Law was the top-ranked school on National Jurist’s honor roll of the best law school buildings in 2026. National Jurist’s law school building honor roll highlights campuses that support law students in studying, collaborating, and training and that combine technology, experiential learning spaces, and student-focused amenities.

The S.J. Quinney College of Law was recognized for its LEED Platinum-certified building that includes a greywater reuse system to save more than 130,000 gallons of water each year and regenerative elevators that capture excess energy and feed it back into the building. A green roof terrace and native landscaping collect rainwater for irrigation, and the atrium brings lots of natural light and reduces the need for artificial lighting. However, the building also focuses on student wellness, with a fitness center, outdoor basketball and pickleball courts, secure bike storage, and a meditation room.
