Quinney Clay Invitational

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join us for the Quinney Clay Invitational trap-shooting event! This event will bring College of Law alumni and friends together for a fun morning of trap-shooting and networking. An instructor will be available for beginners, so don’t hesitate to join us even if you’re new to the sport. Thanks to alum Jim Holbrook’s (’74) generous sponsorship, this event is free for all alumni and friends of SJQ.
Location: Lee Kay Public Shooting Range (6000 W. 2100 S., Salt Lake City, 84128)
All Experience Levels Invited: We will have a beginner’s ring with an on-site instructor available, as well as guns and ammo available for beginners.
Attire/Travel: Guests should wear comfortable clothing.
Guns/Ammo: BYOG (Bring Your Own Gun).
Check-in information: Guests arrive and check in at the shotgun building. Complete waivers at the check-in table. Each participant will shoot two full rounds.

EVENT ITINERARY:
8:00 – 8:45 AM | Check-In + Coffee & Donuts
- Guests arrive and check in at the main building.
- Breakfast and coffee available.
- Guests complete waiver forms (via tablets at check-in table).
- Assignments to rings distributed
8:45 – 9:00 AM | Welcome & Safety Briefing
- Welcome announcements over PA system inside the main building.
- Quick overview of ring assignments and event format.
- Safety talk provided by range staff.
9:00 – 11:00 AM | Main Shooting Rounds
- Participants head to assigned rings with scorekeepers.
- Each participant shoots through two full rounds, rotating positions.
- Beginner ring available with on-site instructor (great for first-time shooters!).
- Between rounds, guests are welcome to visit refreshment tents with drinks and snacks:
10:50 – 1:00 PM | Awards, Raffle, Lunch
- Recognition of top shooters and Annie Oakley winner.
- Lunch provided
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:
1. Station Sponsor – $1,000 (per station)
- Logo/signage at one of the five shooting stations
- Recognition in select event materials
- Your company is welcome to attend and staff your station for direct interaction with participants
2. Full Station Sponsorship – $5,000
- Exclusive signage at all five shooting stations
- Recognition as a key supporting sponsor in event materials
- Includes the opportunity for your team to attend and engage with participants at all stations
3. Lunch Sponsor – $2,000
- Recognition as the official lunch sponsor
- Signage at lunch area and in event program
- Opportunity for you and your team to engage directly with attendees during lunch
4. Raffle Sponsor – Donated Item/s for Door Prizes
- Recognition as donor of door prize, opportunity to give away the door prizes
- Signage in clubhouse and in event program
