Join us for an evening of celebration! Utah Law will open a new pro bono patent and trademark law clinic on a pilot basis in spring 2026 as part of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)’s Law School Clinic Certification Program.
More information about the clinic:
Adjunct Professor Sam Noel of Lowenstein Sandler and Adjunct Professor Jon Love, will support the IP clinic. Professor Jacqueline Morrison, director of experiential education, and Professor Jorge Contreras, IP and Technology Law program director, will also supervise the clinic.
The IP clinic will help entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, small businesses, students and others with intellectual property issues, including filing trademark and patent applications. It will also carry on the College of Law’s work in support of the Center for Medical Innovation’s annual Bench to Bedside Competition, in which student teams from around the state compete to develop healthcare innovations.
