12:15-1:15 p.m., Room 106
The Family Law Society will hold a lunch hour panel on Tuesday, March 31st on “Hot Topics / Current Issues in Adoption Law.” Panelists will discuss issues such as intercountry adoption, adoption and the foster care system, adoption and due process, and adoption by gay families. Come learn from local experts what they see are the hot topics in adoption law right now, and what it’s like to work as an attorney handling adoptions.
We are fortunate to be joined by Troy Booher (ULS ’02), Shawn Richards (ULS ’06), Shane Marx (ULS ’10), and former juvenile court judge Sharon McCully (ULS ’78). This discussion will be useful to any student interested in family law, child welfare, constitutional law, and/or appellate practice.
Frozen yogurt with a toppings bar will be served.
