3L’s: Please plan to attend the “Transitioning to the Practice of Law” panel!

This event is just for you as 3L’s—you are the only class invited, and is sponsored by the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Utah State Bar.  Some of the best, most helpful young lawyers in the Utah legal community will be presenting on several important topics.  The presenters come from large and smaller firms, solo practice, and government, so you will hear from folks with a variety of perspectives.  You will get tips on:

  • Tackling the bar exam (yikes)
  • Job seeking
  • Starting out in your new firm, government job, judicial clerkship, or small/solo firm
  • Switching jobs (more than one of these young lawyers has already jumped around—hear about why and how you can make it work)
  • You will also hear a brief word on the Utah Bar’s New Lawyer Training Program (mentoring program for new lawyers) from Elizabeth Wright

Here are the folks coming:

Aida Neimarlija—Burbidge Mitchell & Gross (formerly of Howrey, also clerked at Snow Christensen & Martineau)

Phil Wormdahl—Solo Practitioner who associates with Brown Bradshaw Moffit (also formerly with Wasatch Advocates)

Alison Bejhani—Parr Brown Gee & Loveless (also clerked for Justice Nehring)

Nathaniel Swift—Salt Lake City Prosecutor’s Office

Lunch will be served.  It won’t be pizza.  To RSVP, click HERE!  Also, if you would like Anneliese to forward a specific question to the panelists (anonymously), feel free to email it to her ASAP.
